Why does it feel like Saturday?

Published July 31, 2012 by The Author

It’s very strange. I slept a little late — like 10:30 or so — haven’t watched any daytime TV, just the Olympics. Ah, maybe that’s it. The only daytime TV I watched today that I might usually watch was my soap.

Yeah, that’s right, I watch a soap, wot’s it to ya? *looks all thuggish*

Anyway, I’ve been working on the new design for my author website all day… and then decided I don’t think I’m going to use an old fashioned website style thingy anymore. Isn’t everybody using a blog as their home base these days? I’m way out of style with my home page and its mismatched links. The only real nod to the way things are changing on the internet is the connections to every social media site under the sun, and I don’t even think I did that right. SO… I’m working on another blog on the WordPress platform, and thinking of using that instead. It’s simpler to update and offers more tools for promotion than your standard FTP/Web upload site. I used to really enjoy designing the graphics and doing the coding, when HTML was simple, but now it takes way too much time — time I should be spending writing.

Speaking of writing, I’ve been working both on Adirondack Shift and TVTV today between spurts on website ideas. With all the market research I’ve been doing, reading books in my genres, checking out blogs and websites — which I haven’t done in YEARS — and looking at my old work makes me REALLY excited to finish something and get back out there again!

Mmmm. Had fresh zucchini from my garden for dinner. You really can’t beat fresh vegetables! Yum.

Okay, I’ll be honest, I don’t have a lot for you today, so I’m just going to post this to prove I existed and YES THIS DOES TOO COUNT AS A BLOG! So nyah! Maybe I’ll be more interesting tomorrow. 😉

How are you today? Any comments on which format you prefer author websites to be in?
