Welcome to the NAUGHTY NEW YEAR’S BLOG HOP!

Published January 2, 2013 by The Author

Did you ever notice the “naughty” theme on my blogs? Don’t get me wrong…I love scary, sweet, funny, suspenseful. A good story is a good story! But for me, there’s just got to be some spice. Some zing. Some down low, steamy, sweaty smut. It can be scary sex, sweet sex, emotional, funny, suspenseful sex, but at some point in my story I like to see a hero and heroine get down and get funky.

That’s why I write it, and that’s why I love doing blog hops that celebrate it. Erotic writing is having a real renaissance right now thanks to quasi-BDSM stories like 50 Shades of… You Know. And that other one that’s really popular. And the hundreds of awesome sexy stories that existed before them and have been born since. Some are entirely based on an erotic plot, while others have another plot intertwined with the erotica. They star cowboys, billionaires, wizards, guys next door, construction workers vampires, werewolves, professional Doms, gods, angels, and demons, and more. Whatever way you slice your erotica, the readers are getting hot!

There’s a lot of talk in the media about “Mommy Porn” — a term I loathe, but which gets the point across, I suppose. It’s women getting to know their bodies, their desires, their fantasies in ways that they may never dared have before. In that respect, I can only cheer. Breaking taboos between consenting adults is always a good thing!

It’s a brand new year — time to make that list of things you want to change; things you want to try. And there is nothing wrong with putting something naughty on that list! A toy, a game, a book, a position.

I’ll be giving away a $10 OmniBucks certificate for All Romance Ebooks, where you can find books for any naughty taste, from the sensual to the hardcore!

Even better, there are GIANT GRAND PRIZES for the overall Blog Hop!

    • Hee. I’m a perv, I have no excuse! LOL

This year for New Year’s Eve, my family and I just relaxed at home with our favorite snacks and watched Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve… with entirely too much Bieber! πŸ˜‰ But I love Taylor Swift, so I guess that was okay. It was very relaxing, and we actually stayed up until midnight for the first time in years!

I’ve set a few general writing and life goals, but I need to to make them more specific like all the experts say is more effective. I know I want to seriously considering breaking into a “Big Press” this year. And develop that epic UF Romance series I’ve always wanted to write.

      If not now, when? πŸ˜€

      Happy New Year, sweetie!

    • Aww, I like that ritual. Being with loved ones is a favorite of mine too. I’m way past rocking the night away at a party or club!

Like your resolution, too. Good luck!

Happy New Year and thanks for stopping by!

  • I always spend New Year’s Eve with friends and family; and New Year’s Day with the family. I don’t really have any New Year’s rituals. I have made a few resolutions though. Thanks for the giveaway!

    • That’s the way we do New Year’s Eve at our house, too. Just good company, good food, a few spirits and Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve on TV. πŸ˜‰

Happy New Year and thanks for stopping by!

    • It is REALLY hard to juggle all the responsibilities in life and still have enough time to read all you want to. Heck, I dedicate time every day to read and when I look at my TBR list I STILL despair! All we can do is try to do as much as we can, right? Good luck!

Happy New Year and thanks for stopping by!

  • Hi! Happy New Years! Hmm. I dont really make new year resolutions. I kinda just take it one day at a time and go from there. Thanks for the awesome hop and all the giveaways! This is so fun! I love these hops! I always meet new authors, reconnect with old ones and my TBR list grows by leaps and bounds! Thank you!! Have a great day! Best wishes and many blessings to you!

    • I think that’s a good way to do it. I do set goals, but I try to reach them in small increments rather than looking at them in huge chunks — bound to fail that way, and beat yourself up for it if you do!

I love hops too! For exactly the same reasons. I’m positively addicted to them. I do one a month, practically! LOL

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you’ll visit again! Happy New Year!

    • Absolutely! I do love my urban fantasy, fantasy, and horror… a good story can draw me in and keep me hooked… but the more smexy nudity involved, the better! LOL

Happy New Year and thank you so much for stopping by!

  • I dislike that term as well…One BDSM series to me personally wasn’t written well with repeative words that the author continuously used thru out the entire series of 3 books, and (ok hushing up cause…) made some crazied which lead to that dreadful term…

    Anyway…

Happy New Years, wishing you best of luck in the year ahead…

    • Oh, I can’t tell you how glad I am to hear someone else say that! I don’t talk about it in public right now… I try not to speak negatively about other writer’s work… but it just grates when something so poorly written takes over the world like that. Especially when there are dozens, maybe hundreds, of better written books in the genre out there! And Mommy Porn? Just for the record, I am not a “mommy,” and… well, I love every kind of smut, from the sensual/poetic, to the down low, get to it porn, so. It’s smut — just own it!

Anyway. LOL. We should get together and rant sometime. A very Happy New Year to you, Beckey! I hope you and yours are well!

    • I’m the same. I set goals, things to shoot for, but they’re not vows or promises. Doing it because everybody else is definitely makes any plans you make weaker, as well.

Good luck on your baby steps! They definitely tend to stick better. Happy New Year, and thanks for stopping by!

  • I just want to get more organized, sleep more, and make more one-on-one time with my husband cause 2012 really whooped my ass.

Have a naughty new year and thanks for the giveaway!

  • I don’t make resolutions but this year my goals are to have less stress, breath deeper, and take a few more chances in life. Thanks for participating!
    bimmergrlmd at gmail dot com

    • Oh, that’s a classic. Good luck!

I know — a new year, new books. Of course, I’m still buried under books from the past FIVE years because every year brings more great ones. LOL

Happy New Year and thanks for stopping by!

  • I don’t make New Years resolutions anymore. I am going to try to pay off at least one of the credit cards this year. Wishing good things and much success for you in 2013. Happy New Year and thanks for the chance to win.

    • I don’t either. I set goals for myself, but I found all resolutions did was have me make promises that I inevitably broke! With goals, I feel a little less pressure.

Thank you so much for the wishes — same to you! Happy New Year and thanks for stopping by!

  • Really don’t have a ritual as this year we were sick so yeah did nothing lol my goals for this year is to get an accounting job before I finally graduate in October from college… Enjoy life and go to a convention, have more me time and spend time with my family.

  • 1st i have to say that I loved your WAY BETTER definition of romance novels – mommy porn is just ridiculous – and people are just jealous that we can get our rocks off too!!! 2nd one of my goals for 2013 is to wear more lip gloss! thanks for being a part of the hop. happy 2013!

  • Loved reading your post! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I plan on doing some more exploring sexually this year. With all the hot, wet your panties books I read last year, hubby is walking around with a smile on his face. Thanks for being part of this hop & your giveaway!

  • Happy New Year and thanks for hosting. I don’t make resolutions. I like to make goals that would be easy to achieve. Like being a little bit naughtier than last year and read more. πŸ™‚

  • Thanks for doing the hop!! This New Year I resolve to be extra naughty and really earn my spankings!!
So, many great new authors and book to add to my TBR pile and stalk after this hop!

  • I prefer chilling at home, partly to keep the dogs calm when the fireworks start =/ but mostly because iΒ΄m tired of big parties. I donΒ΄t give resolutions, either (boy, i sound boring) just because thatΒ΄s one less thing to stress about.
Hope you had a great New YearΒ΄s & Thanks for the giveaway!

    • I like relaxing at home too. I’m sort of OCD about being able to control my environment, relaxing, having some snacks and hanging out with the family — including the animals! wouldn’t be the same without them, and you can’t really take them with you! Besides, I think my party hardy days are long behind me! πŸ˜€

Happy New Year, and thanks for stopping by!

  • Nope. No resolutions here. I’m old enough to know my limitations πŸ˜€

    Thanks for the great giveaway!

    Happy New Year!
